After months of careful consideration and analysis, a panel of national judges has determined the winners of the 2007 Best of Web and Digital Education Achievement Awards.
Schools, colleges and universities routinely handle large volumes of sensitive records. Where paper records are concerned, most have found appropriate balances among safeguarding personally identifiable information, public disclosure and academic freedom. The management of electronic or digital records ought to reflect the same balances.
Schools need technology that reduces administrative overhead and aids in teaching. States often wonder how to fund such technology, specifically how to ensure funds are available year over year to refresh the technology as necessary.
