2011 Q2 Special Report: Mobility and Security

on October 10, 2011

Digital devices have made it to where students, faculty and staff can access educational resources regardless of where they are, when they are and who they are with. In a word, education has now become mobile. The 2011 Q2 Special Report examines how the concept of mobility is changing the education scene. It discusses the ecosystem of elements that comprise mobility and some challenges education leaders may confront when transitioning to a mobile environment. The second half of the report confronts the issue of security in regards to mobility in education. It helps answer the question of how to successfully balance the two while still providing the proper access needed by students, faculty and staff. Properly marrying mobility and security will be a critical key in preparing your campus for the future.
