Each year, the Center for Digital Education invites all U.S. community colleges to participate in its annual Digital Community Colleges Survey!
The Survey recognizes and showcases community colleges’ use of technology to provide a high level of service to their faculty, students, and communities.

John Halpin, Vice President, Strategy and Programs, Center for Digital Education
John Halpin is Vice President of Education Strategic Programs for the Center for Digital Education. As a veteran K-12 teacher, college professor and IT consultant, Halpin has been active in promoting the use of technology in education for over 25 years. He has led sales and marketing efforts for some of the largest technology companies and has written for various media outlets. In addition, Halpin is a frequent speaker on public sector technology issues for national professional associations, various state leadership councils and technology companies.

Rodney Ellis, Ed.D., Executive Vice President, Atlanta Technical College, Atlanta, GA
Ellis earned a bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, a master's in judicial administration from Auburn University and a master's in health services administration from Columbus State University. Ellis has more than 14 years of experience in higher education and has served as vice president for information technology, planning and development, director of institutional development and institutional effectiveness specialist.
Asif Hussain, CIO, IT Services, Kingsborough Community College, New York, NY
Asif Hussain is Chief Information Officer of Kingsborough Community College. He has been in the Information Technology field for over 22 years. He specializes in Project Management, Application Fulfillment, Strategic Planning, Technology Research and Evaluation, Business Recovery Planning, Network Infrastructure, Server Consolidation and Telecommunications. He possesses Master of Science and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degrees.
John Wood, CIO, Instructional Technologies, Central Wyoming College, Riverton, WY
John Wood is the Chief Information Officer of Central Wyoming College, Riverton, Wyoming. He is a former faculty member of the institution, and has work in various other capacities in addition to being the CIO. His strong emphasis at the college and with technology services is alignment to the college mission to “enhance the quality of life through innovation and excellence in education.”
