The Center for Digital Education hosted a Market Briefing event in Ft. Lauderdale 11/18/2016.
IT leaders from Florida school districts were on hand for a special briefing on their technology plans for the coming years.
Broward County Public Schools’ technology initiatives have been designed to support the achievement of its over 256,000 students, as well as improve operational efficiency. With nearly 348,000 students, Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ mission is to improve the use of current and future technology to collect, maintain and deliver high quality information to effectively empower the district. The School District of Palm Beach County has a little over 174,000 students and is working to create a roadmap for its future use of technology.
The participants briefed the audience on district plans in a variety of topic areas, including computing infrastructure, mobile devices, digital content, professional development, cyber security and their plans to incorporate blended learning models.
