Kahle Charles is the Executive Director of Curriculum of the St. Vrain Valley School District headquartered in Longmont, Colorado. St. Vrain Valley School District is the educational home of more than 32,000 of Colorado’s students. The seventh largest school district in the state, St. Vrain Valley operates 55 schools that are spread over 411 square miles. Mr. Charles is a former social studies teacher, high school assistant and elementary principal and district RtI coordinator. He works closely with principals, school teams, professional development and instructional technology departments on curriculum issues and implementation as well as school-wide and individual instructional improvement. For the past three years, Mr. Charles has worked to equip students and teachers in the district with the digital curricular tools they need to investigate, communicate, collaborate, create, model, and explore concepts and content in authentic contexts. Recently, SVVSD was named by the Learning Counsel as one of the “top 10” districts in the nation for digital curriculum and implementation strategies. He is a presenter at national venues on Digital Curriculum Strategies.
