Ms. Cynthia Brictson serves as the Interim Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the DeKalb County School District, the third largest school district in the state of Georgia. Ms. Brictson has served as teacher, Coordinator of Staff Development and the of Director of Curriculum and Instruction in an integration school district in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In Georgia she served as principal of an 1100, student elementary school in Clayton County, Georgia while transforming the school into a K-5 Flagship Technology school. She has served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction in Greene County School System, where she worked to initiate a high school one-to-one iPad initiative and secured over $8M in grants for the school district. Her work in technology helped the Greene County School Board received a first place from the National School Boards Association’s – Magna Award in the area of technology for English Language Learners. Prior to being appointed to the Interim Deputy Superintendent position, she served as a Regional Superintendent. She is a presenter at national and international venues on Leadership and Data-Driven Decisions and Data Display, 21st Century Classrooms, and STEM programs.
